Tượng Học Sĩ là chế tác đầu tiên trong bộ TỨ DÂN – một tổ hợp điêu khắc mang tinh thần triết lý, mỹ học và thử nghiệm, tái hiện bốn tầng lớp xã hội cũ theo một cách nhìn hiện đại. Ở hình tượng đó, ta thấy một người học sĩ – với con rắn uốn quanh người, không dữ tợn mà ẩn nhẫn, không tĩnh mà gợi chuyển động nội tâm.
Rắn là linh vật cổ xưa của tri thức và tái sinh – từng hiện diện trong y học phương Tây, tranh chạm Đông Á, sách cổ và truyền thuyết – được phục dựng tại đây như một biểu tượng lặng lẽ nhưng bền bỉ, tượng trưng cho người học: mềm nhưng không dễ uốn, nhẫn nại mà không hề thụ động.
Tri thức thật sự không ồn ào, nhưng luôn để lại dấu vết.

The Scholar Snake Figure is the first creation in the Four Occupations collection – a sculptural ensemble rooted in philosophy, aesthetics, and material experimentation, reimagining the four traditional social classes through a contemporary lens.
In this figure, we encounter a scholar – encircled by a serpent, not fierce but composed, not still but stirring with quiet inner motion.The serpent, an ancient symbol of wisdom and renewal – found in Western medicine, East Asian carvings, ancient texts, and myth – is revived here as a quiet yet enduring emblem. It stands for the scholar: supple but not easily bent, patient yet never passive.
True knowledge does not clamor. But it always leaves a trace.
